About International Coaching Week
The pandemic, politics, and many other forces have reshaped the world, the job market, and the workplace significantly in the last year. This session focuses on how coaches and job seekers can most effectively grow to reach goals. Panelists will share their expertise on trends, job searching, and remaining visible during this digital age.

International Coaching Week (ICW) is an annual weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession. ICW 2021 is scheduled for May 17-23, 2021.

ICW is intended to educate the public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process. During ICW 2021, the International Coaching Federation (ICF) will invite individuals and organizations from around the world to explore “Defying Challenging Times.”

For a week, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro bono services in their local communities to enable others to experience coaching and its benefits firsthand.

ICF High Country is providing four daily 60 minute webinars May 17-20 discussing various coaching topics including:

  • Enhancing Your Personal Wellbeing As A Coach
  • Coaching Leadership Self-awareness
  • Recalculating Career Opportunities For Clients
  • Raising Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Awareness.

ENHANCING YOUR PERSONAL WELLBEING AS A COACH

In a world filled with new challenges and change, many people are struggling - mentally, emotionally, relationally... the list goes on. And the role as a coach - coming alongside and helping people - is more important than ever right now. We've all heard the saying, "You can't give away what you don't have," and that's especially important for coaches. Be inspired and equipped in this session to prioritize your own wellbeing so you can thrive in your life and coaching practice and help others succeed as well.

Valerie Davis has 29+ years of executive, leadership, and human resource experience in varies industries including financial, retail, and consulting services. Her specialist is strategic planning and leadership coaching with expertise i culture, engagement, and talent and strength development. Valerie is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Idaho and her Executive MBA from Boise State University.


Genny Heikka, MBA


Genny Heikka is an author, speaker and passionate coach who helps people reach their full potential. As the Owner and Founder of Her Team Success, she coaches women and teams toward greater confidence, impact and results. Certified in Emotional Intelligence and EQ-i 360, Genny has been helping people thrive for 17+ years and has served in a variety of leadership roles within corporate, non-profit and community organizations. She applies her experience in leadership, communications, marketing and branding to help her clients stand out and succeed, and has worked with organizations like HP Inc, Micron, Boise State University, Texas Roadhouse Restaurants and more.

Todd Hess, MSOL, ACC


Todd Hess is a certified coach who focuses on developing people through coaching by incorporating the simple practice of The Work of Byron Katie, where one learns to question their stressful thoughts. As Owner of Inquiring Mind Coaching, helping clients question their thoughts of anger, stress, or sadness to discover their truer selves. Todd is certified through the Clarity Coaching Institute and ICF. With 15+ years of experience as an HR executive leading Organizational Development and Leadership Coaching functions at Castlight Health, eBay, CallTower, Vivint SmartHome, and NICE inContact  to improve management skills, employee performance, retention, and revenue growth. Todd is passionate about developing people and ensuring organizational health across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

COACHING LEADERSHIP SELF-AWARENESS

This session focuses on the role of leaders in building trust and improving conversations involving justice, inclusion, and equity in the workplace. Panelists will share ways to access the brain, heart, and gut for better decision-making and self-reflection, traits highly sought after in today’s leaders. Panelists will also demonstrate a coaching session showing how to use the brain, heart, and gut in accessing greater self-awareness.

Jan Bouch, Psy.D, PCC, MCCT, CEC, mBIT Coach, Certified Conversational Intelligence Coach


Jan Bouch a former administrator with 35+ years of experience leading, coaching, and teaching. She has worked with directors in court systems (nationally and internationally), and private and not-for-profit entities across the country. She is in her 11th year teaching coaching skills to judges and court executives. Jan is certified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC),  Professional mBIT (multiple brain integration techniques) Coach, and Conversational Intelligence Certified Coach.

Anjali Pai, ACC


Anjali Pai is the Director, Staff Development & Employee Experience at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) in Utah. In her current role, Anjali is a champion for employee engagement and high performance by fostering the development of a caring and supportive workplace culture. Previously, Anjali spent 10+ years actively engaged in internationalization efforts at the University of Utah and Kaplan International. She is a long-term volunteer with children and families in grief work at The Sharing Place. Anjali is certified as an Associate Certified Coach at ICF.

She combines learning from her 32-year career at Hewlett Packard with Positive Psychology, career/calling assessments and tools, and the science of goals and motivation, to help clients discover their unique advantages and apply them to move into their next careers, all with a good dose of humor and warmth!

Jennifer Kumar, PCC


Jennifer Kumar, the Managing Director of Authentic Journeys, has over a decade of experience coaching US client-facing professionals in India who manage teams and projects in virtual environments. Jennifer understands some of the cultural missteps that professionals who work between the US, India, and other countries face, as she herself has lived and worked in India for 10+ years. She takes this experience to help teams and professionals like you to work more successfully across cultures, understand and mitigate cultural differences to build more effective working relationships, building your team, your reputation and your business. Jennifer is a Professional Certified Coach through ICF.

Stephanie Renk, MBA, CPCC, CPRW


Stephanie is the founder and co-owner of Idaho Next Steps Coaching, helping job seekers define their career goals, build career marketing portfolios, and prepare for interviews to land the job they want with confidence. Since the beginning of her career, she has supported veterans, professionals, students, and colleagues to obtain their goals by providing guidance and resources through every step of their journey. Stephanie is a certified professional career coach and resume writer through the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC).

RAISING DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION AWARENESS

DEI (Diversity, equity, inclusion) = A journey of on-going learning for each individual that’s changing and evolving. This session will focus on addressing various questions: What does it mean for coaches? What is a coach's responsibility? What do clients expect to discover individually or in the workplace? What research is available to better understand DEI? How informed do you need to be to coach clients? Panelists will share their expertise and facilitate a dialogue amongst attendees.

Laura Alvarez Schrag is the founder and majority owner of Ponder Consulting, a world class provider of a wide range of business training and development solutions,  and business consulting to address the complex needs of her clients in the non-profit, corporate, public and private sectors.  Her extensive experience includes expertise in many arenas including Executive Leadership Coaching, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, and Organizational Culture and Development. She is highly respected for her work with organizations large and small, in the United States and Latin America. Laura is a certified ACC Executive Coach through ICF.

Linda Secretan, PCC, NBC-HWC (she, her, hers) on Shoshone Bannock Land


Linda is a coach interested in change – how it begins, where it ends and how to support people as they navigate through its emergence wherever they find themselves in life’s interesting journey. April is a developmental and transformational coach who is passionate and deeply committed to supporting the growth of her client’s leadership skills, supporting a personal and professional journey of self-discovery. Known as a trusted leader within local government, April spend 20+ years in executive leadership roles focusing on organizational and team effectiveness, leadership development, strategic leadership, change management, public sector budgeting, and policy development. April received her Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University and is certified as a Social and Emotional Intelligence Professional through the Institute of Social and Emotional Intelligence.
