ICF High Country March 2025 Newsletter Header

President’s Message

March is a month of trailblazers. The ones who dared to go first, refused to stay silent, and reshaped what was possible. Progress has never been passive. Transformation has always required courage, conviction, and community.

Coaching is transformation at its core. It is about seeing possibility where doubt exists, holding space for bold ideas, and helping others build the confidence to take action, not only in their own lives, but in the world around them.

As you move through this month, consider the trailblazers in your life, your practice, and your community:

  • How can you help someone step into their own power?

  • Who needs a reminder of their own brilliance?

  • Who could use an ally, a mentor, or a champion?

Let’s honor this month by doing what we do best: listening deeply, challenging perspectives, and sparking possibility.

Sending you strength as you march forward.

President, ICF High Country Chapter

March Speaker Event

Ellen Browning-Lafferty
14 March 2025 | 12:00–1:30 PM (MDT)Experiential Primer: Systemic Family Constellation Work

Ellen Browning-Lafferty is a business and life coach (NYU 2016), family constellations facilitator, licensed massage therapist, and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in the wellness industry.

She offers Family Constellations workshops online and in person, along with one-on-one sessions. Her work supports growth through a systemic lens, helping clients understand inherited patterns and resilience, connect with their strengths, and find greater ease.

Ellen’s mission is to connect clients with greater support, community, and resources. She finds joy in helping others acknowledge personal truths, embrace life’s paradoxes, and bring forward the gifts of ancestry.

Session Topic: This workshop is an experiential introduction to Systemic Family Constellations. As both a philosophy and a process, this modality offers a systemic lens to understand inherited patterns and resilience.

Systemic Family Constellations is grounded in the belief that both challenges and strengths have lineage. The work supports clients in releasing what hinders growth while reclaiming what supports it.

For coaches, understanding this modality can help us establish ethical, balanced relationships with clients, identify barriers to growth, and strengthen trust and psychological safety.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the lineage of strengths and challenges

  • Learn methods to avoid recreating parent-child dynamics with clients

  • Explore approaches for fostering a supportive, growth-oriented environment

Empowering Women Through Coaching

Celebrating Women’s History Month

ICF High Country, DEIB

March is a time to honor the achievements, resilience, and leadership of women throughout history. As coaches, we have a unique opportunity to support women in their personal and professional journeys, helping them break barriers, build confidence, and step into their full potential.

Women continue to face systemic challenges in the workplace, including gender bias, the confidence gap, and barriers to leadership.

Coaching can be a powerful tool to help women:

  • Clarify goals aligned with values and strengths

  • Challenge imposter syndrome and strengthen self-trust

  • Navigate inequities, transitions, and leadership growth

  • Advocate for themselves through communication and negotiation skills

Empowerment is not only about individual success. It also contributes to a more equitable world where all voices are valued.

This month, let’s reflect on how we can uplift and champion the women we coach.

Wishing you a meaningful Women’s History Month.

Membership Spotlight

Jen Kreiner, ACC, CALC

Stone’s Throw Coaching ADHD and Executive Function Coaching

What inspired you to become a coach, and how has your journey evolved since then?Jen was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, and the coaching support she received was deeply impactful. She pivoted from nonprofit leadership into ADHD coaching, focusing on professionals navigating workplace challenges. She often supports clients pursuing coaching as a reasonable accommodation and collaborates with employers through multi-party agreements.

Jen has also developed leadership workshops on neuro-inclusion and employee workshops that support workplace well-being. She is honored to support organizations that are learning and evolving, including Montana SHRM as neuro-inclusivity is integrated into their 2025 strategic plan.

What is your coaching philosophy, and how do you support meaningful transformation?Jen believes cognitive differences are often misunderstood, and without curiosity and understanding, neurodivergent individuals can experience a lifetime of pressure to conform. ADHD coaching helps clients move out of isolation and into safety, self-understanding, and self-acceptance. With knowledge and validation, clients reclaim energy spent trying to fit a mold and build autonomy, clarity, and permission to thrive.

One piece of advice for other coaches?

Slow down and make yourself the priority. Daily practices that support your well-being are foundational to balance and sustainability.

How do you continue to grow as a coach?

Jen is expanding into mind-body connections and somatic approaches, learning the “bottom-up” path through nervous system awareness. Meditation and breathwork are key practices, and she hopes to pursue certification as a trauma-informed somatic practitioner.

Where can clients learn more?
