About the Event

🎫 Event Description

Mindfulness for Coaches is an interactive program designed to help coaches explore the connection between mindful awareness and professional coaching practice.

Together, we will examine how mindfulness supports the way coaches prepare, listen, stay present, and remain open to what is emerging in the coaching conversation. With a focused connection to the ICF Core Competencies — especially Competency 2: Embodies a Coaching Mindset and Competency 5: Maintains Presence — participants will explore how mindfulness can strengthen both the inner work of the coach and the quality of the coaching relationship.

This session will include group discussion, shared reflection, and experiential practice. Coaches will have the opportunity to consider how they currently prepare themselves for client sessions, where they may want to grow, and how simple mindfulness practices can support greater presence, curiosity, and client-centered partnership.

Participants will leave with practical mindfulness strategies they can integrate into their coaching day — before, during, and after client sessions.

🔑 Key Learning Outcomes

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how mindfulness practice supports the ICF Core Competencies, with particular attention to coaching mindset and presence.

  2. Explore how mindful awareness can help coaches notice their own assumptions, reactions, distractions, and habits during coaching conversations.

  3. Practice mindfulness-based strategies that support grounded presence, deep listening, and client-centered partnership.

  4. Identify simple ways to integrate mindfulness into their coaching routine before, during, and after client sessions.

📕 Continuing Coaching Credit Units (CCEUs)

Attendance earns you 1.5 Core CCEUs. Once ICF Global notifies us of the number, we will update the website.
