From the Membership Director's Desk

WANTED:  Team of strategic thinkers to help shape this work.

Join me on May 20th at 6:00 PM MT

Our High Country ICF Chapter is gathering for a strategic planning session focused on growing our local outreach and impact.

We’ll be exploring:

  • How we engage with Chambers of Commerce in our area

  • Ways to effectively talk about coaching with business leaders

  • Opportunities to market the incredible expertise within our community

This is a chance to help shape how our chapter shows up locally and how we collectively serve businesses and organizations in meaningful ways.

If you would like to contribute ideas, support outreach efforts, or help us build stronger connections with local businesses, please add your name to the volunteer form  so we can include you in planning communications and send a meeting reminder.

Even if you’re just curious, you are warmly invited to join the conversation.

Mark your calendars: May 20th at 6:00 PM MT.

SPECIAL EVENT

May 27, 2026, 10:00 AM  MT

NOTE: This Global Event requires a 2-step Registration Process. First, register here on our website, then look for a follow-up email from us with the Zoom registration link.

This event explores two coaching capacities that shape the quality of the entire conversation: Agreement Setting and Presence. And, how these elements of coaching increase partnering in a coaching conversation. We will look at how a clear, co-created agreement helps both the coach and the thinker get oriented to what matters, why it matters, and what would make the conversation useful. From there, we will explore presence, as the coach’s ability to stay grounded, curious, responsive, and connected to the thinker. Along the way, we will touch on bias, cognitive load, self-regulation, and co-regulation, and why these matter if we want coaching to support the thinker to do the work of creating the dots, connecting the dots, and owning the dots.

International Coaching Week

International Coaching Week (ICW) is May 11-17. This serves to raise the public's awareness of coaching and foster connections with peers in the coaching community worldwide.

The High Country Chapter of ICF is once again supporting the Coast to Coast Pro Bono Coaching Challenge during International Coaching Week.

You are invited to offer at least three hours of pro bono coaching—creating meaningful impact for individuals and communities who may not otherwise have access.

If you signed up on the High Country volunteer list and have not received an email matching you with a client, please seek out your own.

Get creative in how you share your coaching, and log your hours as part of this collective effort to amplify the power of coaching.

For other ICW events, see the ICF Global ICW Events Page.

Credential Changes are Coming

Changes are coming to how you get your ACC and PCC through ICF.

If you are on the portfolio, you will no longer submit recordings to ICF Global for assessment.

  • Beginning January 1, 2027, all ICF credential candidates must work with a mentor coach who has earned the MCQ designation.

  • By April 1, 2027, skills validation from qualified mentor coaches will replace the performance evaluation recordings and transcripts required for ACC and PCC Portfolio candidates.

If you are enrolled in a Level 1 or Level 2 training school, these changes will be implemented in-house.
