From the President's Desk

A Season for Gathering

Leaves are turning, days grow short, A little more crispness fills the air. We gather around tables, conversations, and community— Bringing what we have, Learning from one another, And making room for what comes next.

Perhaps that’s not so different from coaching.

We create space. We listen. We notice what is changing. And together, we imagine what might be possible.

This October, I’m especially grateful for the people who continue to make ICF High Country a community worth gathering around.

And I have some wonderful news to share: we have a full slate of candidates for our 2027 Board!

Thank you to everyone who raised a hand, had a conversation with our Board members, nominated someone, or encouraged another member to consider serving. Seeing members willing to contribute their time, talents, and perspectives to the future of our chapter is incredibly encouraging.

The next step belongs to all of us. Per our bylaws, our membership will vote on the proposed slate. Please keep an eye on your inbox on Monday, Oct 19th for your ballot, and take a few moments to vote. Every member’s participation matters as we confirm the leaders who will help guide ICF High Country into 2027.

We also have a small plot twist in our fall programming. Our scheduled November presenter needed to cancel, so we are currently working to bring you a new program focused on AI and coaching. Given how quickly this space is evolving, and the questions it raises for coaches around practice, ethics, and the future of our profession, we think it has the potential to be a timely and valuable conversation.

We’ll update the website and share details as soon as our new presenter is confirmed.

In the meantime, I hope October gives you opportunities to enjoy the season, connect with people who matter to you, and perhaps notice what is ready to change, grow, or be gathered in.

Happy fall, High Country!
