President’s Message

As October arrives with swirling leaves and pumpkin-spiced everything, we are excited to share what has been quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

Our new website and membership platform are officially live. This launch ushers in a fresh season of connection and collaboration, making it easier to stay organized, communicate clearly, and find what you need all in one place. Over the coming months, we will continue rolling out new features and updates to further support engagement across our chapter.

If you are a current member, please take a moment to become a site member and subscribe to the member pricing plan so everything is set up correctly. If you are not yet a member but are interested in joining, our Join Us page has all the details to get started.

Of course, the heart of our chapter is not the technology. It is the people. As we look ahead to our November board elections, we are inviting members with time, energy, and passion to consider serving on our Board of Directors. Your leadership, creativity, and willingness to contribute are what keep our community strong. We truly cannot do this without one another.

So between the costumes, candy, and crunching leaves, let this be a reminder of how much our connections matter. If you have been waiting for the right moment to get more involved with ICF High Country, consider this your gentle nudge toward the power of showing up together.

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”— L. M. Montgomery

DEIB Spotlight

ADHD Awareness Month

October is ADHD Awareness Month, a time to deepen understanding of ADHD as part of the broader spectrum of neurodivergence. Coaching can be a powerful support for individuals with ADHD, helping clients build strategies, confidence, and self-awareness that align with how their brains work.

This month also invites reflection on how inclusive our coaching practices truly are. How are we recognizing neurodivergence as part of a client’s culture and context? How are we cultivating trust and safety in ways that may feel new or transformative for them?

Approaching our work through a lens of universal design—offering flexibility, minimizing distractions, and creating supportive environments—helps ensure clients feel seen, respected, and welcomed. Practicing cultural humility and examining our assumptions around neurodivergence allows us to better honor the many ways people process, learn, and grow.

The ADHD Coaches Organization is a valuable resource for coaches engaged in this work.
